🛒 Ingredients

  • 500g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 can (400g / 14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (400g / 14 oz) tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 carrots, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Brown the Meat

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion and garlic, cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Drain excess fat if needed.

Step 2: Add to Crockpot

  1. Transfer the cooked beef mixture into the crockpot.
  2. Add cabbage, carrots, rice, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
  3. Season with paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stir everything well.

Step 3: Slow Cook

  • Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours
  • Until rice is tender and cabbage is soft

Step 4: Serve

  • Stir well before serving
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed
  • Serve hot with fresh parsley on top
