- 500g (1 lb) ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 can (400g / 14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (400g / 14 oz) tomato sauce
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 carrots, sliced (optional)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
👨🍳 Instructions
Step 1: Brown the Meat
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add onion and garlic, cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
- Drain excess fat if needed.
Step 2: Add to Crockpot
- Transfer the cooked beef mixture into the crockpot.
- Add cabbage, carrots, rice, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
- Season with paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir everything well.
Step 3: Slow Cook
- Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours
- Until rice is tender and cabbage is soft
Step 4: Serve
- Stir well before serving
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed
- Serve hot with fresh parsley on top
