Chocolate Cherry Swiss Roll Cake – Decadent Black Forest Dessert

Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Sponge:
4 large eggs
100g granulated sugar
60g all-purpose flour
20g cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
For the Vanilla Cream Filling:
250ml heavy cream
50g powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Ganache & Decoration:
100g dark chocolate, chopped
50ml heavy cream
Fresh cherries (about 10-12)
Extra chocolate squares for decoration
Instructions:
Prepare the Sponge Cake:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy and pale.
Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt, then fold gently into the egg mixture.
Spread the batter evenly on a lined baking tray. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Roll the Sponge:
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Place a clean kitchen towel on top, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and roll the cake gently. Allow to cool completely.
Prepare Vanilla Cream:
Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
Assemble the Cake:
Unroll the cooled sponge and spread the whipped cream evenly.
Place cherries along one edge, then roll the cake tightly.
Chocolate Ganache & Decoration:
Heat cream and pour over chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth.
Cover the rolled cake with ganache.
Decorate with extra whipped cream, cherries, and chocolate squares.
Serve & Enjoy:
