Ingredients

For the base:

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • ½ tsp salt

For the protein:

  • 250g sushi-grade tuna or salmon, cubed

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp rice vinegar

  • ½ tsp honey or agave (optional)

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

  • 1 green onion, finely chopped

Toppings (choose your favorites):

  • ½ avocado, sliced

  • ½ cucumber, thinly sliced or spiralized

  • ½ cup edamame, cooked and shelled

  • ¼ cup shredded carrots

  • Pickled ginger

  • Seaweed salad

  • Radish slices

  • Mango cubes

  • Nori strips

  • Chili flakes or sriracha (for heat)

  1. Cook the Rice:
    Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. While warm, mix with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Let it cool to room temperature.
