π§Ύ Ingredients:
2 medium apples (Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Gala work great)
Β½ tsp ground cinnamon
Optional: Β½ tsp sugar or coconut sugar (for extra sweetness)
Optional: a light spray of oil (if needed, for extra crispness)
π©βπ³ Instructions:
1. Prep the Apples
Wash and core the apples (peeling is optional).
Using a mandoline or sharp knife, slice apples very thinly β about 1.5β2 mm thick (thin slices = crispier chips).
2. Season the Slices
In a bowl, toss apple slices with cinnamon (and sugar if using) to coat evenly.
Optional: Lightly spray with oil for a crispier result.
3. Arrange in Air Fryer
Lay apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray. Avoid overlapping.
You may need to work in batches depending on your air fryer size.
4. Air Fry
Air fry at 150Β°C (300Β°F) for 12β16 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Keep a close eye after 10 minutes β they can go from crisp to burnt quickly.
For extra crispness, leave them in the air fryer (turned off) for 5β10 minutes after cooking.
5. Cool and Crisp
Remove chips and let them cool on a wire rack β theyβll crisp up more as they cool.
